What we already thought would be a fun trip turned out to be so much more: the love and enthusiasm of the exhibitors, attendees and Maker Faire Rome’s team for innovation, education, and general celebration of the maker movement was awe-inspiring. There is so much to see that a single year in attendance is not enough, so if you ever get the opportunity, head to this show, soak in the sea of inventions, and make some great friends along the way.

Cutting edge anti-counterfeiting and traceability systems to guarantee physical and digital identity, sophisticated technological applications and integrated solutions for a wide range of products and services, accuracy of detail and design creativity of master engravers to create postage stamps, coins and medals produced for the Italian State and a number of foreign countries: all this and more makes IPZS a unique and continuously evolving company, working to serve the Italian State and support the Public Administration, but above all, to serve and protect citizens.
Based on a strong technological, artistic and cultural heritage witnessing the excellence of a brand that has always been expression of the "Made in Italy", IPZS offers state-of-the-art solutions to the needs of an increasingly global and competitive market.
During the event IPZS will be pleased to present following projects:
1. The middleware to use the Italian Electronic ID CARD (CIE) to perform strong authentication across the network to services made available by the Italian government;
2. An API (Application Programming Interface) for reading the "Numero Identificativo Servizi (NIS)" in both “Windows” and “Arduino” environments and use it in access gates to low-security services such as gyms, clubs, public transport, etc.;
3. An API for Windows and Android environments for reading the ICAO data structure from the RF chip of the Italian ID Card to guarantee the citizen’s strong identification during his access to high-security contexts;
4. IDEA App for Android terminals for reading ICAO data and verifying the authenticity of the ID card through terminals equipped with an NFC reader.
