Sperimentazione “on board†delle logiche di gestione del sistema di raffreddamento motore su veicoli terrestri
An instrumented vehicle has been set up to carry out investigations on the management of cooling systems for internal combustion engines.
Aimed at identifying the management strategies of electrically driven cooling pumps, an engine cooling system has been equipped with sensors and transducers. With the capability of characterizing the engine thermoregulation system, the vehicle can operate on road in real driving conditions. A data acquisition and management system realized in open hardware (Arduino UNO) allows to integrate on a single platform the real time data acquisition of the engine control unit with the signals coming from the instrumentation set up on the cooling system.
