NightmareV2 spider robot
Nightmare version 2 is a full metal spider robot built from scratch with stock parts and 3d printed components. it uses 26 intelligent servos for locomotion by imitating real life spiders to move all its sensors through rough terrains. the robot is equipped with a veriety of sensors: pressure sensors on each leg, a 3D depth camera and a 9dof imu for stabilization. A powerful computer inside the robot ensures enough computing power for path and step planning and 3d slam (simultaneous localization and mapping) for orientation in an unknown environment. everything on the robot is powered by a big 120Wh lithium polymer battery that can be easily extracted for charging while putting a full one on.
