Safe@Home (ITS4.0)
The project, started with studies on the needs of users living in "automated" and non-automated environments, aims at supporting active aging. The prototype represents a scale reconstruction of an apartment consisting of 3 rooms: a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. PIR (Passive InfraRed) sensors have been installed to monitor movements, while magnetic sensors on the entrance door detect the openings. A cloud platform acquires and manages data, sending regular alerts and reports to caregivers and health professionals.
