What we already thought would be a fun trip turned out to be so much more: the love and enthusiasm of the exhibitors, attendees and Maker Faire Rome’s team for innovation, education, and general celebration of the maker movement was awe-inspiring. There is so much to see that a single year in attendance is not enough, so if you ever get the opportunity, head to this show, soak in the sea of inventions, and make some great friends along the way.

Laboratorio ARSCONTROL - Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia
The ARSCONTROL lab at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia is active in robotics research since 2001. In the POP our recent research on human robot collaboration (e.g. teleoperation, physical human robot interaction, collaborative robotic), on surgical robotics (e.g. control architectures for autonomous laparoscopic surgery, tele-mentoring for novice surgeons) and on multi-robot systems (e.g. traffic control of AGVs in logistics, human – multi-robot systems collaboration) will be presented.

ARSControl Team
The ARSControl lab has been founded in 2001 at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and it is devoted to research in robotics and automation, with a special emphasis in the control of these systems. The main research areas are human robot collaboration, surgical robotics and multi-robot systems. A distinctive aspect of the ARSControl researches is in the willingness of constructing strong link between industry and academia, seeking to set up strong cooperations to tackle real technical problems faced everyday by application engineering in industry with innovative methodologies and solutions from academia.
