Mini dryer and solar dehydrator for food processing, equipped with sensors in the near infrared (NIR), camera and Arduino technology for the control of physical process parameters.
The advanced sensors they are equipped with allow standardization and process control. The continuous collection of information is used to ensure the traceability of the supply chain based on analytical data.
The data flow is sent over the network and will allow to make the information gathered available to all the players in the supply chain.
The project is already in an advanced state of realization.
Some demonstration activities will be carried out during the opening days; preparation of the materials to be treated, assembly of the sensors, drying process.

CREA.IT GROUP (Milan-Treviglio)
The Center for Agro-food Engineering and Transformation of CREA (Treviglio and Monterotondo) deals with the development of technologies and methodologies related to agricultural engineering with activities prevalent in the sectors of agricultural mechanization, environmental management, post-harvest technologies and processing of products and biomasses also for energy purposes. The Milan branch develops research that is articulated according to mutually correlated guidelines that are constantly updated according to the demands of operators and markets: the study and improvement of operating conditions related to fruit and vegetable processing, treatment, conditioning and the preservation of fresh fruit and vegetables, identification of quality indexes and development of the relative analysis techniques.
