Researcher at the Research Centre for Engineering and Agro-Food Processing of the Council for agricultural research and economics (CREA). Currently is studying and developing applications regarding digital engineering technologies and numerical methodologies within the biosystems, agribusiness and agroindustrial, precision farming and digital agriculture frameworks (ICT, IoT, imaging, RFiD, spectrometry, proximal sensing, thermography, inferential or predictive multivariate modeling, electronics and open source softwares). Realization of optoelectronic and mechanical prototypes and for food processing and in details for the brewing industry. Develops and implements innovative algorithms (TPS color calibration, backwarping) and software procedures for acquisition, processing and control (MATLAB, python). Deals also with sensors aiming at pre- and post-harvest applications, logistics (transport through passive intermodal refrigeration and distribution), rapid and non-destructive analysis and analytical techniques certifying qualitative aspects of products (agricultural and agri-food). Does research as well relative to other systems (farms, greenhouses, fruit processing plants, forestry) and non-food products (pellets and wood cips).
