SOLARIA EVO (evoluzione)
SOLARIA was born from the desire of teachers and students of the IIS Sandro Pertini Mechanical Vocational Institute of Alatri to create an innovative car following the trend of car manufacturers in creating hybrid or fully electric models. The prototype was made entirely by students over the years. It is made of iron, 2.5 meters long, 1.20 wide, 70 cm high.
It was designed to be entirely electric: it is, in fact, powered by a direct current electric motor with 1000 W of power. Two 100 A / h batteries are recharged either with the electric current of the house or outside with the help of 2 photovoltaic panels of 1.50 square meters.

The 19 students of the class IV A of the vocational Mechanical High school Sandro Pertini of Alatri are very motivated in facing new challenges and innovative proposals. They are very sensitive to environmental problems but particularly interested in everything that revolves around the world of engines: they are curious, proactive and do not give up in the face of problems. They are collaborative, they know how to share tasks and responsibilities but, above all, they know how to collaborate, aware that teamwork is the winning weapon. Their talents have shown by creating, under the careful guidance of the teachers, the electric car Solaria, which has filled them with pride, satisfaction, desire to tackle new projects.
