3D Michael Maker - Plastic Recycling for 3D Printers

3D Michael Maker - Plastic Recycling for 3D Printers

3D Michael Maker, is a prototype system that allows you to independently produce the polymeric filaments necessary for 3D printing by recycling plastic materials already used in other areas or scraps of the same 3D printing
It is an economical system for the extrusion of filament that also allows the development, production, and testing of reels not yet widespread on the market, by suitably mixing different plastic materials, starting from virgin granules or shredded plastic, adapting the blends to specific printing needs.
3D Michael Maker in addition to reducing the environmental impact via plastic recycling, it can also save up to 80% on the cost of the reels.

Michelangelo Maugeri - IT Archimede di Catania

My name is Michelangelo Maugeri, next year I will obtain a diploma in Mechatronic Mechanics and Energy at the I.T. Archimedes of Catania.
I am very attentive to the problems related to the sustainable future and the recycling of materials.
I dedicate my free time, as well as to sport, to carrying out projects in the technological field, also thanks to my 3D printer, which helps me to transform my ideas into reality.
The passion for modelling and 3D printing and my sensitivity towards the environment allowed to invent 3D Michael Maker.
I hope that the 3D Michael Maker can be developed, optimised and can find a place in all FabLabs, alongside the Makers' 3D printer.
