The Live City Information Model (LCIM)
New technologies today offer enormous potential in order to manage and drive the sustainable evolution of the cities. The potential of the digital innovation must be incorporated into the new mangement of urban transformations. Through the clever adoption of new technologies, it is possible to see and verify the transformation of the city in advance and take decisions socially shared. Through the Live City Information Modeling (LCIM) app, the citizens, seeing the transformation where the transformation will be, play an active role in the urban decision and being able to evaluate, thanks to augmented and mixed reality, the opportunity and the effectiveness of the urban changes.

AURUS (Augmented Reality for Urban Systems) un gruppo di ricerca aperto che raccoglie studiosi, ricercatori e curiosi interessati alladozione delle nuove tecnologie nei contesti urbani. L'interesse di ricerca di AURUS particolarmente rivolto alla dimensione pi innovativa della tecnologia attualmente disponibile ovvero alla Realt Aumentata e alla Realt Mista utilizzate per la prefigurazione del futuro assetto della citt. Un altro degli intenti di fondo condivisi dal gruppo l'utilizzo di piattaforme e ambienti software Open Source che possano favorire un accesso diffuso e collaborativo allo sviluppo dei progetti e una distribuzione libera e gratuita delle applicazioni sviluppate.
