The project developed a prototyping of a automatic machinery for production of surgical mask in a flexibly and efficiently way. The machinery is hyper-compact and realizes a high flexibility process in order to make the machinery easily installed in narrow spaces (ex. Like aboard one ship), it’s easily transportable (ex. in the rear of a car) and it doesn’t require high skills from workers for the execution of the production cycle. The surgical mask produced has functional characteristics and is made in an innovative way. The project used as a tool for development the methodology of “Design thinking” and the technologies present in the set of enabling technologies for industry 4.0.
