Tecnologie Wi-Fi Sensing: Individuazione e Re-identificazione delle persone

The project addresses person detection and re-identification tasks via Wi-Fi signals. Specifically, using low-energy and low-consumption devices such as ESP32, it is possible to analyze electromagnetic waves of the Wi-Fi signal that are altered by the presence of human beings standing between the two devices. Following a pre-processing phase, artificial intelligence was exploited to detect the presence or re-identify a human being while also respecting their privacy. The prototype comes with a MATLAB interface that allows one to visually inspect the effectiveness of the designed algorithms.
