What we already thought would be a fun trip turned out to be so much more: the love and enthusiasm of the exhibitors, attendees and Maker Faire Rome’s team for innovation, education, and general celebration of the maker movement was awe-inspiring. There is so much to see that a single year in attendance is not enough, so if you ever get the opportunity, head to this show, soak in the sea of inventions, and make some great friends along the way.

No one is an island
This sound installation arises from the need to reflect and combat the emotional disconnection we experience today due to the health emergency. In which each individual is divided and separated while remaining transparent, always visible, but untouchable.
My sound boxes are like little creatures, they are small and fragile entities, subjects and not objects. Some dig in the rubble, others sow, there are those who do not know where to turn their heads and those who touch each other producing small sparks. They are separate, but at the same time they are connected. They are accessible, but unreachable. Trapped in their four plastic walls, yet they produce sounds that can float freely in the air we breathe.
Riccardo Tesorini
Riccardo Tesorini lives and works in Perugia, Italy.
His work encompasses different activities, ranging from soundtracks and sound design to a electro- acoustic project "Eezu" as well as the realization of sound installations and sound art.
Some of his compositions have been performed in numerous festivals such as: Nycemf (New York) Tama Music Festival (Tokyo, Japan), Siids (Madeira, Portugal).
Always fascinated by the combination of music and images, he began his artistic career focusing on the different forms of sound space-time. Stylistically, his work is marked by an introspective vision coupled with a tireless inspiration towards nature, which is seen as an essential condition for harmony.
