Living new life to your old mouse, creating anthropomorphic robots with cardboard and syringes shows that robotics can be done even with makeshift means, learning more ’cause student is at the centre, creating with cheap and affordable materials, environmentally friendly, using biodegradable, recycled materials, brief and simple projects, easy to build and repair, with a guaranteed wow effect, because fantastic and funny projects increase students’ confidence and interest in engineering and technology.

If this was made possible, it’s only thanks to our students of the robotics and applied physics course: they are the real protagonists. They have taken the youngest pupils by the hand, introducing them into the magic world of robotics, helping them to build and see in motion their first robots: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and whatever fantasy can inspire. And what about the little girl who shouted: “But... that’s my son!” when she saw her robot in motion?
