Ping - Pong
Created in collaboration between our school and AIRETT (Italian Rett Syndrome Association), "Ping-Pong" is a tool designed to stimulate motor skills in girls with motor and cognitive disabilities, such as RETT syndrome. These girls are particularly attracted to music, so it was decided to create a device that allows the signal from a computer to "bounce" between two monitors (A and B). If the girl is positioned in front of monitor A, the signal is redirected to monitor B, encouraging the child to move.
Ideato dal Prof. Piero Alabrese e realizzato dalla classe 4A di Elettronica ed Elettrotecnica dell'I.I.S.S. "Del Prete-Falcone" di Sava (TA) nell'ambito del P.C.T.O., con il supporto del Prof. Carlo Calò e del Prof. Dario Panariti.
Class 4A, consisting of 19 students, with the constant support of teachers Piero Alabrese, Carlo Calò, and Dario Panariti, developed the second version of the project created in the previous school year. In this second version, improvements have been made from both an electronic and aesthetic perspective by designing and 3D printing the supports necessary to contain the electronic circuits.
