Plantvoice
Plantvoice is a biosensor that, inside the stem of the plant, analyzes the sap in real time. Plantvoice is biocompatible and reads sap flow and salinity, which correlate with plant stress. Each stress is identifiable: water, biotic (bacteria or fungi), abiotic (chemical substances or salts in the soil). Plantvoice detects direct data on plant physiology and detects anomalies in the health of the plant after just a few hours.
Plantvoice therefore preserves the health of crops with high added value (vines, olive trees) or high productivity; and optimizes water use by reducing costs and allowing water to remain available even in arid areas.
Matteo Beccatelli
At the heart of the Plantvoice team, a revolutionary technology that allows plants to communicate with farmers through chemical signals, is the chemist who invented the patent, Matteo Beccatelli. His pioneering work is the foundation on which the entire project is built. Thanks to his experience in the world of industrial chemistry, synthesis and sensors, after a research experience in the United States, he has developed an IOT biocompatible sensor solution that promises to revolutionize agriculture regarding the management of water resources and the maximization of production.
