Playa Libre
Playa Libre is an autonomous IoT system designed to help tourist to find their perfect spot at sea and to help coastal administrations to monitor the beach erosion.
The designed system consists of a ground unit (a buoy will be added in the next months), devoted to acquire weather and crowdedness data, and a cloud-based data archive and processing that is based on the Social Internet of Things (SIoT) paradigm.
At present, Playa Libre in installed and experimentally validated in some beaches near Cagliari, Sardinia (ten stations are deployed).
Hedya s.r.l.
Hedya is a SME based in Cagliari that develops systems and services in the IoT scenario. Hedya experiences are in the field of ICT systems, telecommunication networks and smart cities. Recent achievements are systems for beach monitoring, air quality monitoring and boat tracking and control.
