EMOROBOT: UN ROBOT OPEN-SOURCE CHE RICONOSCE LE EMOZIONI PER FAVORIRE LO SVILUPPO DELLE COMPETENZE SOCIALI NEI BAMBINI CON AUTISMO

Emorobot is an Open Source robot equipped with EmoTracker, a software that uses an algorithm of artificial intelligence for the recognition of the level of attention and for the recognition of emotions. The software uses as input the video stream coming from the webcam and is in able to detect the age and sex of the user, the level of attention, based on eye movements, and the six Basic Emotions identified by the Basic Emotion Theory.

Pio Alfredo Di Tore, PhD, is Assistant Professor in Special Pedagogy and Didactics (S.S.D. M-PED/03) at Università degli Studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale. His research interests are focused primarily on the relationship between human movement sciences, technology and cognition, with particular attention to natural interfaces and simulation environments.
He is Associate Editor of International Journal of Digital Literacy and Digital Competencies, Editor in Chief of JIMTLT -
Journal of Inclusive Methodology and Technology in Learning and Teaching and is director of the series Handbooks of Inclusive Methodology and Technology in Learning and Teaching published by Edizioni Universitarie Romane.
He held the role of Chair or Discussant in the 2021 and 2022 editions of REN Conference - Research on Educational
Neurosciences (UniCusano) for the topic "Multimedia environments and Artificial Intelligence".
Since 2021 is member of the scientific committee of the annual event "Ubiquity, Presence, Distance: Scenarios in
Digital Education", with the patronage of Sipes and Sirem.
