PhiCube – A friendly robotic device for upper-limb telerehabilitation

PhiCube is a friendly robotic device for bilateral upper-limb telerehabilitation. It is composed of an actuated central body characterized by a flexible configuration which allows a wide set of trainable joint movements. A dedicated control algorithm has been developed to provide support at different stages of the treatment by adapting to the current state of the patient. The device features a software application for easy tuning of the device, interactive applications that render the training enjoyable and entertaining and a tool for the production of usage and performance reports.

Robotics for Rehabilitation team

The Robotics for Rehabilitation team at the Institute of Intelligent Industrial Technologies and Systems for Advanced Manufacturing of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-STIIMA) develops robotic technologies for rehabilitation. Starting from medical requirements, new devices are conceived, designed, realized and programmed taking the most of the interdisciplinary expertise of the team members.
