APS 2.0
Green Savers produces APS 2.0, an intelligent mechanical structure capable of protecting crops by adapting it to different climate conditions. Using a microcontroller board, 4 sensors and two different motorized protective sheets, APS 2.0 chooses the type of protection to offer to the crops, protecting
them from excessive sunlight, rain, hail, frost and wind.
APS 2.0 intervenes only in case of adverse weather conditions ensuring that crops can develop naturally in the open air in normal situations.
Our system can be equipped with photovoltaic panels for power supply. A remote control by means of the Internet connection and the possibility of receiving data from weather forecast sites can act in advance to protect crops from adverse weather events. This process of mechanization and automation without human intervention reduces the costs and sales prices.

Our start up Green Savers was born at the end of September 2019 when our school was invited to take part in the challenge of the program Skills for Future, organized by Junior Achievement Italia and EIT Food, whose project was to find innovative solutions for Agriculture 4.0. Green Savers JA mission aims at increasing farm profits by reducing losses caused by adverse weather conditions. Bad weather phenomena can reduce the quality and quantity of the product and even lead to the complete destruction of a crop. Green Savers JA therefore combines the benefits and advantages of a cultivation in an open area with the guarantee of a quick and precise protective action in case of hostile weather events.
