SMART SCHOOL FOR HEALTHIER CLASSROOMS
TheCovid-19 pandemic has called for the need of guaranteeing good quality of air in indoor environments, in particular, those of different working and social activities, such as schools. The SSHC project is based on an IoT system able to detect the concentration of the contaminants C02, VOC and PM in school spaces. The classrooms are provided with a DL connected through LAN to a control server, data analysis and dynamic configuration of the DL; the system also includes a monitoring station aimed at the detection of outdoor factors such as temperature, humidity, wind, rain, PM, C02, and connected to the server that controls the partial ventilation of the spaces by opening the windows.
TEAM SSHC MARCONI
The design process has been developed through a project based learning, recurring to the Simulated Company, a teaching method that combines problem solving, learning by doing, cooperative learning and group work, by reproducing a simulated environment that allows students from different ages and courses to collaborate in dynamic activities.
