Nextlight - Powered by NEXTON
IoT technology solution which turns the streetlights into an intelligent infrastructure
Nextlight is the name of the product conceived by NEXTON, which opens up new opportunities for intelligent lighting.
It comes as a result of an effective combination hardware and software; it is plug & play and retrofit capable with existing LED network lamps. It is made out of hardware integrated with state-of-the-art IoT technologies and communication systems. The system monitors, tracks and allows to remotely control the streetlights and have real-time energy consumption data.
The sensors equipped wthin the hardware part, allow the system to self-adapt to the needs in terms of energy, enhancing high energy saving (up to 70%) when there is no traffic around and ensuring the highest level of safety in presence.
Through the NEXTON dashboard software, data is collected and organized in easy to read visual outputs freeing customers from additional headaches. The energy consumption data is translated into periodical energy consumption reports for customers.
hanks to collected consumptions data and to the high level LED life reliability, with Nextlight it will be possible to save money indirectly also on Maintenance developing predictive maintenance plans.
The hardware and software are 100% designed and develop by NEXTON.

Academic Background: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering , Master of Science Civil and Environmental Engineering, Executive MBA in Digital Economy 4.0.
Past Experiences/Projects: 5 years of international experience in a commercial-oriented role for the business development within the cleantech & energy market and founder of NEXTON startup company. EYE (Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs) selected candidate for a Finnish company acting as Sales Representative.
Main Goals Achieved: Kick-off of start-up company (LTEG), Primary coordinator & Project Manager for MG-4-7-2020 (H2020 call); EYE EU commission Selected candidate; Nova Talent selected candidate.
Gerardo Lando, PMO, COO & Co-Founder.
Responsibilities for NEXTON: support the CEO with planning, business development, accounting and finance and in keep up business relationships.
Academic Background: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (in progress), with specialization in Geotechnics, at the Polytechnic of Turin.
Past Experiences/Projects: Building Design and Energy Field in the LL Italia Srl company, Architectural and Energy Designer of executive design of multi-storey buildings in the Immobiliare Corso Monte Cucco SaS, both in Turin.
Main Goals Achieved: contribute to the set-up of a Start Up, NEXTON, together with my partners and to build further experiences on those foundations to increase the knowledge of design, the project manager and the business world in all its facets.
Role: CTO / Head of Telecom.
Responsibilities for NEXTON: Technical Leader for Product Development, Support and Infrastructures.
Academic Background: Master's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the Polytechnic of Milan, Bachelor's Degree Telecommunication Engineering at the Polytechnic of Bari.
Past Experiences/Project: With +10 years working in telecommunication industry, he is a systems engineer, technology expert and software developer. His horizontal technical background touches variety of fields, from Cloud Computing to product management, web application programming and networking architectures.
Main Goals Achieved: Leads the technologyc path of NEXTON.
Fabio Mastrocesare, CMO.
Academic Background: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with specialization (in progress) in Industrial Engineering, at the Polytechnic of Genoa.
Past Experiences/Project: Freelance Trader; Graphic Novel Translator; Director Sales Engineer at Cielca C.A.; EYE EU commission Selected candidate; Football referee in the beginners category at AIA - Associazione Italiana Arbitri.
