Ecoball
A system able to analyze the state of pollution of rivers, streams, lakes and seas useful to contribute to the fight against environmental degradation. It consists of a set of spheres equipped with sensors for water analysis and data communication.
Currently, there is a tendency to analyze those areas which, due to their conformation and location, are considered to be at risk of pollution using static local analysis devices.
Our project stems from the need of extending the detection of pollutants on larger territories, in order to generate a map of the territories at risk and to carry out a preventive monitoring ensuring the possibility of targeted interventions.

The creators of the project are fourth-class students of the ICT course at ITET "Rapisardi Da Vinci" of Caltanissetta. Their skills include programming in high-level languages such as C++ and Java and making applications for the Android operating system. During the implementation of the project they have gained the ability to create and manage data on the Cloud and use them in WEB oriented applications.
During their studies, they have designed automatic control devices using programmable microcontrollers and sensors for data detection and communication.
