A very strong event of the year for every maker. A place that inspires and teaches me something new and gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with a huge number of people in one space. MFR helps develop my project through meeting new clients and makers.

Search&Rescue: uniforme smart per soccorritori
The Uniform was created as part of the H2020 European Project Search&Rescue, and consists of a smart underwear (University of Cagliari) worn under the first responder's technical uniform (University of Florence), which protects the rescuer during operations of extraction of victims trapped under rubble, and monitors electrophysiological, biomechanical and environmental parameters such as ECG, EMG, knee angle, exposure to X-rays and toxic or explosive gases. Data are sent via Bluetooth to the rescuer's smartphone, geolocated via the integrated GPS and sent to the command center in real time.
