Olive X-Ray
Olive X-Ray is a portable telescopic radiograph for monitoring oil-fly infestation. Battery powered and connected to image recognition software, it provides geo-referenced data in real time on the percentage of olive fly larvae inside the olives, thus allowing targeted intervention plans. Its ease of use allows you to operate directly in the field, significantly reducing time and costs compared to the current complex monitoring system, focused on harvesting, transport to the laboratory, cutting, analyzing the olives and manually loading the data obtained.

The Authors are students of ITS Agroalimentare di Viterbo. They attend a two-year post-diploma course specializing in the agri-food sector. They made the prototype on commission from a company and with the support of didactic coordinators and technologies teachers.
