ROVINA Project

ROVINA Project

ROVINA is a project for the exploration and digitization of archaeological underground sites, funded by the European Community. It aims at a more effective monitoring of archaeological sites. The two core productos of the project are: DigiRo (Digitization Robot), a platform for the autonomous exploration and mapping of the site and ARIS (Archaeological Information System), a collaborative and cloud-based system for data management and processing. The 3D high-resolution models generated by ARIS can be exported in Virtual Reality applications (for mobile devices and inexpensive viewers such as Google Cardboard) for touristic promotion.
