Underwater Acoustic Communications

With the recent advances in technology, the interest about underwater communications has hugely increased. The main activities that can be performed in the underwater environment are the coastal monitoring, bathymetric measurements and environmental data collection. The acoustic waves are employed in the underwater communications since they propagate in water better than the other signals. Concerning this project, several experiments will be presented in order to show the main features of an underwater data transmission. Both file texts and images transfer will be performed.
